Ordered this mix from the Sprout House after Todd's Seeds had sold out. My container of sprouts also lacked a seal, but I'm usually happy about minimalist packing anyway. Someone more knowledgeable about the company can correct me on this, but I just assumed the seeds are fresh enough that a seal isn't necessary, as it would be if the product had first been shipped to a grocery store and sat on the shelf for a few weeks before being bought.Onto the most important point: The seeds have a high germination rate. I've been sprouting them in a tray sprouter and it seems that 95% of the seeds will germinate. The sprouts grow vigorously and have a fresh, slightly-sweet-slightly-spicy taste to them. IMO, the mix is versatile for any recipe you'd want to use sprouts in.
