Make sure all the seeds you use are SPECIFICALLY for sprouting, because some seeds are treated with chemicals that wouldn't be healthy for you.I mix these with broccoli and cabbage seeds for sprouting most of the time, and sometimes a small amount of radish seeds for sprouting if I'm feeling like a bit of zesty flavor. Using a quart jar with a plastic lid that is made for sprouting, I soak them over night. I usually put in 2-3 tablespoons of alfalfa, 1 teaspoon each of broccoli and cabbage, and when I put in radish only about a half teaspoon of seeds. Too many seeds leads to a crammed full jar which is hard to empty. Then rinse several times a day with fresh clean water, making sure to drain it fairly well, then propping it up on a tray to completely drain in between rinsing.
